The Norwich & District Photographic Society invites you to explore the 108th Annual Exhibition, showcasing the incredible work of our members – from seasoned photographers to those just beginning their journey.

Experience a rich heritage

With roots that can be traced to the mid-19th century, NDPS is one of the world’s oldest photographic societies. Local enthusiasts experimented with calotype photography as early as 1845, and following a visit from Fox Talbot to the Norwich Science Club in 1854, the Norwich Photographic Society was officially established.

A tradition of excellence

Our first annual exhibition took place in 1903. Since then, it has only been interrupted by the two World Wars and the recent pandemic. Now, in its 108th year, the exhibition continues to celebrate creativity, skill, and a passion for photography.
