Could you become a Friend of St Margaret's Gallery?
St Margaret’s Gallery, St Benedict's Street, Norwich is in a beautiful church in central Norwich. Regular exhibitions, as well as festivals, workshops, art and educational events are held here.
St Margaret's Gallery is a registered Charity (no. 1214861) whose Trustees all share a passion for the arts and want to support our local artist community. Our objective is to advance education in the arts by the establishment and maintenance of an art gallery. We also want to create an environment where artists can hire the gallery at an affordable rate to demonstrate and sell their work.
We offer diverse creative opportunities for locals, giving new life to this historic building, whilst conserving its past. With lovely light from the clear glass church windows, the gallery is available to hire for exhibitions and other art education related activities.
All are welcome to come and view our space and in September, visitors can learn more about this lovely building as part of Norfolk Heritage Open Days.
If you'd like to support us by getting involved on event days, becoming a Friend of St Margaret's Gallery by making a donation or simply offering us your time in whatever capacity you think you could help - we'd love to hear from you.
We have achieved a lot already and more will come. You don’t need to be an artist or maker to join us, you just need to be interested in art and arts activities. Supporting us as a Friend would mean that you would be at the start of an exciting journey and help realise our ambitions to provide an affordable place for artists and makers in our region to exhibit and sell their work.
We are working closely with Norwich Historic Churches Trust, who manage St Margaret's Church, to secure a permanent arrangement that will allow us to realise the exciting plans we have for the future.
